Happy Fall Ya'll

Summer is officially over and the leaves are falling! Our school year has gotten off with a great start! Kate is in 4th grade this year and we are thrilled to report that she is making A's & B's!! Aeris is thriving in her preschool class! She is loving her teacher and her friends! I'm ecstatic to share that Kate and I discovered that she is learning to write...and can successfully write at least 5 different letters and has begun learning to read! can you tell I'm proud?!
Well, if you're like me...you're probably wondering where the past couple of months have gone. They have definitely flown by! Just last week, we were celebrating Halloween and now I'm looking forward to my favorite holiday...THANKSGIVING!! The Fall is absolutely my favorite time of the year...and i jokingly call the holidays a "fat feast". We hit the jackpot with Halloween candy and with the holidays around the corner, there is more food that my belly will be welcoming!
I hope that everyone enjoyed a fun and safe Halloween! This year, we took both of the girls to a pumpkin patch in Mayflower, where we ventured out on a "Haunted Hayride". Along the ride, I got the biggest laugh when Aeris proclaimed (and dramatically with hand gestures included) that NO ONE was allowed to touch her!! Gotta love kids...they say the funnest things!! We also picked out our pumpkins there, but this year we didn't do any carving. Instead our big pumpkin (AKA "Daddy Pumpkin") is still being displayed on our front porch while our 3 baby/mini pumpkins are inside. All in all, we had fun as a family. The Thursday before Halloween, I spent the day with Aeris, at her school, for their annual Fall Festival. The kids enjoyed stuffing their faces with cupcakes, candy, chips, and treats! I felt obligated to help with the cleanup and quickly found myself in one gooey mess! Afterwards, I watched as Aeris and her classmates played various games and won prizes that begin filling up lunch bags full of candy! We had a blast! Halloween, Kate ventured around the neighborhood with her friends (chaperoned of course), while we greeted several kids with candy! We had tons of little kids come to our door and it was fun seeing them dressed up as teeny princesses and super heroes. Times like these make you cherish the small things with your kids!!
So that wrap up our latest adventures, but stay tuned...there's lots more to come!

HAPPY FALL YA"LL!!!
